Inventory Coordinator/Dispatcher

Oculus Transport Ltd. is seeking an Inventory Coordinator to join our growing team in Fort St. John BC.

As an inventory coordinator you are responsible for the storage and movement of customer's materials (pipe, and fluid to name a few). You bridge the gap between the clients and the crew, so communication is key. More often than not you are the face (voice) of the company, so it is essential you can confidently communicate with our clients and staff, in an effective and professional manner. Attention to detail is a critical part of your role, as you work to meet the client’s needs while achieving organizational goals. You can think strategically in a fast paced environment, and will not crumble under the pressure and demands a fast paced, high volume office. Par for the course in the oilfield industry, we do not operate on the 9-5 schedule, more like 24/7 365 days a year. We pride ourselves on being reliable, and our ability to meet our client’s needs under any circumstances, and as a result on-call shifts are part of the job. Past experience in a dispatching role and OCTG is an asset, however a positive attitude, and team focused approach is mandatory. Roles and Responsibilities

  • Maintain close working relationships with customers acting as the main point of contact for all orders, requirements, issues, discrepancies, complaints etc. to ensure they are receiving the best customer service.
  • Conduct accurate inventory management with the ability to solve discrepancies when they arise.
  • Maintain close communication with the Branch Manager and OCTG Manager, advising them of any issues and work collaboratively to find a solution.
  • Responsible for monthly billing, reporting and managing all tank farm related paperwork.
  • Responsible for monthly billing, reporting and managing all pipe yard related paperwork.
  • Provide customers with any accounting required paperwork including inventory reports, month end reporting.
  • Schedule and oversee all sub-contractor work i.e. tank cleaning, maintenance, calibrations etc.
  • Work collaboratively with the Dispatch team to ensure customer’s expectations and needs are always met.
  • Any other duties as assigned by the OCTG Manager.
